The multi-brand Dover Street Market concept, launched in London in 2004 and then duplicated in New York and Beijing, now has an eighth address. A store opened on February 27 in Paris, called “Dover Street Little Market ».
This is the second point of sale in the French capital for the brand managed by Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo and her husband Adrian Joffe: in 2019, a boutique dedicated to perfume and beauty opened on rue Elzévir in the 3rd arrondissement. This new address is devoted this time to clothing.
“Little Market” takes around thirty square meters in the luxury district of the 8th arrondissement, at 54 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. A retail space located in the courtyard of the Comme des Garçons flagship store (a house also founded by Rei Kawakubo), which is dedicated to emerging fashion designers.
Seven designers and young labels are sharing the space this season, such as ERL, Rassvet, Victor Weinsanto or Singapore Youths in Balaclava. All of these brands are part of the incubator launched by Dover Street Market Paris in 2019, which supports them for their needs in production, business development or communication.
