If you spent some time online during confinement (and we know you did) you probably heard of the #nopoochallenge – we are talking about shampoo here 😉
It all started from realizing that washing your hair with shampoo too often strips it from its natural oils and can cause excess oil production and flat hair. But because we still need to wash our hair at some point, came the concept of co-washing.
Co-washing is short for “conditioner-only washing.” It means skipping shampoo and relying solely on conditioner, whether you’re a daily or a weekly washer. The result of co-washing hair falls somewhere between squeaky-clean and second-day hair. It promises to give you smoother, softer, and easier-to-manage hair, especially if you’ve got a head of curls or waves. A fringe benefit of the co-wash method ? You’ll save shower shelf space, as well as some time and money.
Co-washing has gaining popularity among women of two types. It appeals to eco-conscious women who want to consume less products and reduce environmental waste and it also satisfies curly haired women who find a way to care for their hair type better (because until recently the curly hair category was overlooked or more of a niche category in the beauty industry).

The pandemic and climate crisis have made consumers more aware than ever of the relation between their surroundings and the environment they live in and the overall health of their skin.
Luxury houses keep on looking for new ways to reinvent themselves and stay attractive in a very competitive industry. Consumers are always expecting new, innovative products or campaign and major brands are very prolific in the area.
Inclusivity has been a key concern for many people over the last few years. In the beauty industry it has impacted product development but also organizational structures.
